Commercial diving control room. Dive supervisors in the control room for a commercial saturation dive. The gauges and sensors give a readout of oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, depth, breathing gas contents, communications, life support and task monitoring for the divers. Saturation diving is where divers live in a pressurised environment at great depths for extended periods of time. The technique allows divers to reduce the risk of decompression sickness (the bends) when resurfacing.
