Besides these, the bodies of flies are dubbed with camels' hair, badgers' hair, spaniels' hair taken from behind the ear, seals' hair to be procured at the trunk-makers'; the furs of the squirrel, hare, rabbit, fox, otter, ferret, mole, mouse, rat, hamster, and, in short, every other fur that can be procured, may be used, either of their natural colours or Artificial wings made of feathers. For the wings of the flies, the only material is the feathers of birds of all colours, both dull and gaudy, a few of the plumelets being stript from the shaft of a feather for this purpose, as may be seen in the figures above.
