The scenery at Vaudreuil and is so charming that a glimpse from the car window only temptsthe appetite for more, and the tourist with time to spare often returns todrink in its beauties by a longer tarry in this delightful section. Con-tinuing our journey eastward, occasional glimpses may be had ofMount Royal, from which the city derives its name. Passing Lachine,just above the tumultuous rapids thus named, we soon see the evidencesof the proximity of a great city, and while daylight yet lingers, we alightat the elegant Bonaventure station, planning on the morrow to attackthe delightful task of sight-seeing among the citys almost endless andpicturesque MONTRKAL AND VICINITY.
