This image may not be used to state or imply ESA endorsement of any company or product Sixth Ariane 1 launch, 1983. This launch was the sixth of the Ariane 1 rocket. It took off from Ariane Launch Complex number 1 (ELA-1) at the Guiana Space Centre, French Guiana, on 16 June 1983. The launch was named L-06, and carried Eutelsat-1 (European Communications Satellite 1; ECS-1) and Oscar 10 (an amateur radio satellite) into orbit. There were only eleven Ariane 1 launches.
