The Pleiades (M45), also known as the Seven Sisters for the cluster's brightest members, is a young star cluster 400 light-years away in Taurus. It is roughly 50 million years old, very young in cosmological terms. The cluster is passing an interstellar cloud as it orbits the Milky Way. This cloud forms the finest and nearest example of a reflection nebula and appears blue because blue light is reflected more efficiently by the interstellar particles.
