Capillary hemangioma. Light micrograph (LM) of a section through a capillary hemangioma one of the common benign vascular usual sites are skin (seen here) and mucous membranes of head and neck region. Also referred to as strawberry hemangioma. In children they usually regress. Microscopically there are clusters of thin walled capillaries in the dermis. These capillaries are lined by a single layer of endothelial cells. Magnification: x40 when printed at 10cm wide.
