A Near Eastern helmet, 1st half of the 1st millennium A conical helmet of bronze (large percentage of copper) with a small button-shaped top knob. Two holes on the edge at the side for attaching the chin straps. Height cm. Weight 712 g. The metal is well preserved, slightly deformed, and has a brownish-black patina. After its recovery, it was brought back to its original shape and given a light patina. Small restorations along the edge. Axel Guttmann Collection (AG 591/H 226). Acquired in Tel Aviv 1996.
