Arrieros restaurant in Linares de la Sierra, Sierra de Aracena, Huelva, Andalucia, Spain. Its whitewashed houses are surrounded by immense chestnut, holm and cork oak forests, ideal for breeding black-footed sparrows. In its steep streets there are stairways, viewpoints and a pavement at the entrances of the houses decorated with two-tone stone that recall the tradition of Roman mosaics. It has only 268 inhabitants, which provides an idyllic peace, far from the mundane stress of big cities. It has a rich cultural and historical heritage in enclaves such as the Public Laundry, Los Llanos, the Church of San Juan Bautista and its public fountains spread throughout the town. Another of its assets is the Arrieros restaurant, located in a manor house where chef Luismi López and Adela Ortiz prepare delicious local dishes with special emphasis on exquisite Iberian pork, the star product of the area.
