London software engineer Peter Howkins at the first ever Silicon_Dreams British Vintage Computer Festival, 6th-7th July, Snibston Discovery Museum in Coalville, Leics., with the lego laptop computer he built for £100. Half of that was the cost of the lego and the laptop runs the RISC operating system made by Acorn computers in 1996.
