The mine was abandoned for several yearsuntil the spring of 1919, when a lessee started to sink a new shaft. The oldshaft was 95 feet deep and the dump pile showed that vein materials arecoarse calcite, fluorspar, galena, and blende. Pits along the outcrop of thevein show that it is located in a fault with limestone and sandstone as thewall rocks. The fluorspar seen in the dump, and that removed from a veryshallow depth by the present lessee appeared to be of good grade.
