This isinferred from the existence here of a large shell deposit,from which have been extracted arrow-heads and otherpieces of flint, Indian pipes, etc. Two other shell depositsare to be seen on the opposite shore, in Brooksville. Oneis at Henrys Point and the other at Longfellow one of these places a piece of veritable Indian pot-tery, showing the string markings, was unearthed lastsummer.
