He has been a memberof the Eighth District Dental Society formany years, and has filled the office of Presi-dent of same, and for a number of years thatof Secretary. He is a member of severalsecret and other social societies, has heldnearly all the offices in the Independent Orderof Odd Pellows, and was District joined Phoenix Lodge, No. 115, A. A. M., and has held all the chairs of thatlodge, having served as Master five A. P. BURKHART BIOGRAPHICAL REVIEW In the Equitable Aid Union he has held theoffice of Supreme Accountant, handling intwo years one and one-half million dollars,and has represented New York State in thesupreme body as supreme representative since1886. Dr. Burkhart married Miss Sarah Ouigley, adaughter of Dr. Ouigley, his instructor in den-tistry, of whom he purchased his have two children ^ George and Doctor is a Republican in politics. Hehas served on the Town Committee severalyears, has been active in county politics, andis a hard worker during Presidential is also a member of the Royal Arch Chap-ter, being High Priest. He is DistrictDeputy at this time (1894) of the Twenty-second Masonic District, which is composed offour counties, having been appointed in 1893by the Grand Master.
