As the childso was the woman ; always sharing the burden of others ; alwayscheerful in assuming her own ; always affectionate, true and lovinein every vocation, as daughter, wife, and mother. A child withher children, a woman in graver moments, an unswerving friendin every emergency. Her happy, joyous spirit carried the contagion of genial merri-ment wherever she went. Her charming personality; sincerity ofheart, and sweetness of thought and expression made every one loveher and hold her deep in their hearts. In mind she had manytalents, which would have brought happiness to many beside herfriends,—especially in music, in voice, in composition and in pianowork she excelled far beyond the average gifts.
