The freshened border (5) then comes in contactwith (2) the point of the flap resting upon the undermost cut, in whichposition the margins are united. The cuticular border of the end of theinner flap (1) is partially removed so that a freshened wedge of tissueis inserted at the horizontal incision of the flap.
