The barren sandy Kalahari Desert with only a few Camelthorn trees. The Kalahari Desert is a semi-arid savanna which is known for its red and are located in South Africa, Botswana and Namibia. The name Kalahari is derived from the Tswana word Kgala, which means “the great thirst”.
