At the Annual Meeting of the Nova Scotia Historical Soci-ety, which was held in the Council Chamber of the ProvinceBuilding on Friday evening, 11th April, 1913, the Ven. Arch-deacon Armitage, the President, reported that the year hadbeen marked by continual progress. We have added 152 tothe roll of membership, and of this number your President hashad the privilege of nominating 128. The year has been especially fruitful in regard to the plac-ing of Historic Tablets. We have marked historic sites in sixcounties of the Province. We were greatly favoured by thepresence and active interest of His Royal Highness, the Dukeof Connaught, and the Royal party. The following Tablets were placed during the Royal Tour:Three at Pictou: (a) marking the Services of Sir John WilliamDawson our greatest Geologist, on Pictou Academy; (b) mark-ing the Birth-place of Dawson; (c) marking the Foundation ofPictou Academy, and commemora
