Double Tulip. should be rather dry, and if planted in theopen ground, it will be well to have thespot a little higher than the bed or Ranunculus, 25c. per dozen.\ Tulips- Double and single Tulips thrivebetter in a more Northern latitude than this,but some years they flower well here, andas they are cheap, a few flowering bulbswill pay the small amount they cost. Theyshould not be planted later than December,and placed very shallow in the ground; not more than one third of the bulb should becovered. When near flowering they requirea good deal of moistnre. Single and double50c. per dozen. Scilla Peruviana- These are green-house bulbs at the North, but here they arehardy, and do well in the open are two varieties—the blue and thewhite. They throw up a shoot, on the end?of which the flowers appear, forming atruss. Plant from October till January; 20cents each.
