A remarkable feature of this Radish is that it will grow double the size of other red forcing Radishes and still remain solid, not showing the least sign of becoming hollow. The ordinary forcing Radish, after growing to the size of two or three inches in circumference, and weighing about ^ ounce, becomes pithy and unfit for feating, while the Crimson Giant will grow to six or seven • inches in circumference, weigh about one ounce, and still remain solid and juicy, free from all signs of becoming soft.
