All these Kail River Line steamers are equipped with search-lights, wareless telegraph and every up to date requirement andconvenience. During their nightly voyage on Long Island Soundthey are constantly in wireless touch with each other and infact with the world, for the wireless service on these steamers has. proven a great convenience to the patrons of the line as it en-ables them even while in transit, to communicate with theirhomes and their business. STREET CAR SERVICE. Fall Rivers first street car line was built in the year F. Mellen, its projector, formed a corporation known asthe Globe Street Railway Company, and its first tracks were laidin Main street and Pleasant street. Like the steamboat lines and the steam railroad service, thisstreet car service was a success from its beginning. It developedand expanded, and stimulated competing lines, until thecity became quite comfortably supplied with street car competing lines were finally brought up and merged intothe Globe Street Railway Company.
