A contrast of the condi-tion to-day with the condition when took charge, compels the admission, evenfrom his enemies, that his administration hasbeen an abundant success. He is in betterposition to help the university to-day thanhe was seven years ago but the anti-Ellisfaction is camped upon his track and will besatisfied with nothing but the death of theirquarry.
