A local restaurant and bar with outdoor seating caters to the influx of tourists in Salem. The restaurant is housed in the local landmark and former store of Daniel Low & Co. Daniel Low & Co., became famous for the sale of souvenir spoons. The store closed in 1995. The city is a major tourist draw due to the city's infamous history of the Salem witch trials in 1692. That history is a significant tourist attraction today and even intensified during October leading up to Halloween.
