The Old Town of Ostroda with two brick churches across the Lake Drewenz glows in the warm evening light of a masurian summer.
A warm summer night falls over Osterode. The promenade invites you to stroll to the old lido passing the Bismarck tower. The quiet sounds of a band playing in the pavillon blow across the lake and invite you to dance. Here also the ships of the white Fleet arrive from their day trips. In the morning they start boating through the canal with its impressive inclined planes towards Elblag and in the evening they arrive back in Osterode. Seen across the Lake Drweca the cityscape is dominated by two huge brick churches. On the left hand you see the "Lutheran Church" (early 20th century), on the right hand the "Church of the Immaculate Conception of the blessed Virgin Mary" (mid-19th century).
