A picture taken of damaged signs, fencing and airport structure in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) Oct. 31, 2018 is a visual representation of destruction caused when Super Typhoon Yutu struck the island Oct. 25, 2018. It was the strongest tropical cyclone to pass over Saipan and Tinian in the Northern Mariana Island, equivalent to a Category 5 hurricane. Members from Joint Region Marianas and Indo-Pacific Command are supporting recovery efforts alongside CNMI’s civil and local officials, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
