Bristol, UK. 26th November 2020. Bristol based tattoo studio, Holey Skin, has reopened less than 2 weeks after being fined for breaching government lockdown rules. Business owner Aron Walton, has been quoted as saying he did not “consent” to the rules. On November 13th Bristol City Council and police utilised a locksmith to gain entry issuing a £1000 fine and confiscating equipment. Since then Mr Walton has stuck a notice on the shop door that reads: “Under Article 61 of Magna Carta 1215, we have a right to enter into lawful dissent if we feel we are being governed unjustly.” This afternoon, as Bristol is declared a tier 3 zone after the national lockdown ends, people can clearly be seen inside the shop without wearing face masks with little social distancing adhered to.
