Careys Hut is situated at the north end of the North Mavora Lake in the Southern Alpes in New Zealand. Along the shores parts of the movie "Lord of the Rings were produced. Die Careys-Hütte liegt am Nordende der Mavora-Seen in den Südalpen Neuseelands. An ihren Ufern wurden einige Szenen des Kinofilms "Herr der Ringe" gedreht.
