Theneck is decorated with three raised and gilded pendants enclosingheart-shaped medallions of green enamel and separated by raised,gilded and scrolled pendants. The ground is decorated withwaved lines of blue and white, and the bottle is banded at inter-vals in blue. Note: Though of undoubted Rhages facture, this bottle represents ahitherto unknown sehool of decoration, and its counterpart is not to befound in any museum or private collection, so far as is known to its presentowner. Invested with an ivory-coloredglaze and decorated, in brown lustre with passages of blue, asto the center with an inscription in Arabic characters, Pros-perity, surrounded by spiral whorls, and as to the inner rimwith a cusped border, the cusps filled with leaf forms, and as tothe exterior with a border of spiral whorls in line.
