VICENZA, Italy (April 25, 2018) - USAG Italy Garrison Commander Col. Erik Berdy and Command Sgt. Major Mason Bryant joined mayors from six towns in Mason Vicentino to mark the 73rd anniversay of Italian Liberation Day. Liberation Day (Festa della Liberazione) remembers Italians who fought against the Germany and Mussolini’s troops during World War II. More than 300 attended the ceremonies including veterans of World War II, Italian Alpini chapters, school groups and a community band. Major Mason Bryant joined mayors from six towns in Mason Vicentino to mark the 73rd anniversay of Italian Liberation Day. Liberation Day (Festa della Liberazione) remembers Italians who fought against the Germany and Mussolini’s troops during World War II. More than 300 attended the ceremonies including veterans of World War II, Italian Alpini chapters, school groups and a community band.
