A number of this confraternity were among the earlyMoravians as well as a few in the Ephrata Community ; ^but who they were, or how many, is a matter which is lostin oblivion. How many ofthese rings there may be in the numbered graves of Beth-lehem, Nazareth, lyititz, Philadelphia, or the other Godsacres of the Moravian and Sabbatarian Brethren through-out the Province will perhaps never be known. The third insignia of the Order, the Mantel-Cross {DasMantelkreit(z), was a large cross worn over the heart uponthe left side of the purple cloak which formed a part of theregalia, after the manner of the Knights Templar and The shape was that of a Latin cross, and was formedof silver braid.
