A bronze statue of Beatle John Lennon sitting on a bench in John Lennon park (formerly known as Parque Menocal) in Havana Cuba
Located in the Vedado district of Havana Cuba is Parque Lennon (formerly Parque Menocal) where a bronze sculpture of John Lennon casually sits on a bench. The statue of Lennon whose music was once banned in Cuba was unveiled in 2000 by none other than Fidel Castro in recognition of the former Beatles experiences of being repeatedly harassed and hounded by the US government as a subversive.
