Tom Browne born Thomas Arthur Browne (8 December 1870, Nottingham – 16 March 1910, London), was an extremely popular English strip cartoonist, painter and illustrator of the late Victorian and Edwardian periods. A cheery character by all accounts Tom Browne was a popular artist of comic postcards He was a founder member of the London Sketch Club, a Royal Illustrator, a member of the Royal Society of Artists, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours and the Savage Club. The Votes for Women Wow!! is a play on the Suffragette campaign statement - "Votes for Women Now!!
