Rear-Admiral Compton Domvile, British naval officer, 1896. In 1896 Domvile (1842-1924) was second in command of the Mediterranean Fleet. He commanded the Mediterranean Fleet, then the largest in the Royal Navy, from 1902 until 1905. A print from The Navy and Army Illustrated, 2nd October 1896.
