A young woman sits on the bottom step of the Sandringham Memorial Garden in Hyde Park and in front of the mosaic inlaid fountain, part of a joint project of Sydney sculptor Lyndon Raymond Dadswell and architect, Henry Epstein. The garden and fountain were built as a memorial to the late King George V and King George VI and opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 5 Feb 1954 while on a royal tour. In the background is the Boulevard Hotel, situated on William Street and famous for its part in the 1974 "siege of Sinatra" where the crooner stayed for three days during a disastrous and shortened tour
