HABITAT: River floodplains. woods, and open areas near edges of woods. STATUS: Rare in Canada. Rare in Kansas, Maryland, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. NOTES: A specimen with the imprecise label information "island in Detroit River" is plotted approximately. Scoggan (1978-1979) includes Quebec as part of the total range of Lithospermum latifolium. This is based on a misidentified specimen at CAN and literature reports.
