A visit the Mid Hants Railway is a great day out. Also known as the Watercress line as historically this line was used to transport watercress to markets around the UK. There are many heritage steam and diesel locos running on the 8 mile stretch between Alton and Alresford in Hampshire. There are always special events advertised.
