The torso garment incorporates body armor and has physiological status monitors that allows the individual soldier, as well as the medics on the battlefield, to know exactly what the individual soldiers physical condition is at any given time. The uniform is suitable for all climate conditions, having the capability of being heated or cooled. The combat uniform is being researched and developed at the US Army (USA) Soldier Systems Center, located at Natick, Massachusetts.
