Col. Matthew R. Weinshel assumes command of the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) during a change of command ceremony held at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, Aug. 25. Weinshel replaces Col. Craig J. Alia, who will move on as the Chief of Staff for PEO Aviation, Army Future Vertical Lift in Huntsville, Alabama.
