Piches Store in the historic main street of Ophir in Central Otago. It was restored to its original design and reopened in 2012. The store was named after John Piches who ran a grocery in one part and a butchers shop in an other. He lived at the store. He is remembered as a benevolent man, prominent in all of Ophir's projects. In the 1960s the shop front was converted to a service station. It was later restored to its original design and reopened as a restaurant and accomodation in 2012.
