BRAIN, DRAWING

From desire to rupture - 4. Representation of what it happenning in the brain some time after a rupture. Blue arrows : The acknowledgement of failure (prefrontal cortex, centre of reasoning, in green) connected to the souvenirs of the relation (hippocampus, memory area, in yellow) alerts the hypothalamus (centre of hormonal reactions, in blue). This one then increases the secretion of corticoids through the surrenal glands, provoking the drop in dopamine secretion (red area, of which the level is represented on the left of the illustration). Red arrows : The nucleus accumbens (centre of addiction, in pink), weaned from dopamine, is inactive. This is the depressive state. The prefrontal cortex (centre of reasoning, in green), freed from dopamine dependancy, recovers little by little its reasoning abilities. See. images 5605106 for the birth of the love desire, 5605206 for the concreteness of the feeling of love, 5605306 for the rupture.
