View looking W at St Michael's Chapel, Roche Rock, Cornwall, UK, built in 1409 over a rock-hewn (granite) hermitage used by early-Christian saints. The site has legendary connections with King Arthur, Tristan & Iseult and King Mark, and the ghost of Jan Tregeagle. There was a holy healing well at the foot of the rocks which used to ebb & flow with the tide. St Gonand's Church, Roche, is to the rear R.
