The fore wing sometimes has vein 10 stalked with 7, 8, 9. Larva. Dark brown with black head and dense tufts of black hair, rather short behind the head, then becoming longer on dorsum. *1970rt. Head and thorax black; tegulse whitish; patagia with crimson streak on outer edge ; pectus crimson; tarsi white on outer side ; abdomen crimson with dorsal series of black spots and the anal tuft black. Fore wing brownish black, the costal edge white; a narrow incurved white band from costa beyond middle to tornus, slightly constricted at veins 4 and 1; cilia white. Hind wing crimson, the costa blackish ; a terminal blackish band narrowing to a point at suhmedian fold ; cilia whitish. Hah. , Arizona, Babaquivera Mts. Exp. 34 millim. This species is unknown to me, figured from a drawing from type in Coll. W. Barnes, it may be an aberration of the female of C. fulva var. tricolor. *197l a. Hypomolis fassli.
