The city was built around 2600 BCE and abandoned around 1900 BCE. The unicorn, or a one-horned beast, is the animal most frequently portrayed on seals from this place. It is perhaps the legendary unicorn ascribed to India by Aristotle. It is always shown before a stand thought to be an incense burner, perhaps indicating its role in a religious ceremony.
