Firefighters protest outside London Fire Brigade Head Quarters as Fire Authority members vote down proposed cuts which would see 520 fire fighters made redundant, 12 fire stations close and the removal of 18 fire engines in the capital. Among the speakers was Bob Crow General Secretary of the RMT Union who spoke of incidents such as the Kings Cross fire and the role of fire fighters.
