Inspection of the paint factory, super-vised by H. B. Booth, proved of greatinterest to the salesmen, especially someof the new processes of manufacture-adopted by the Company, which were ex-plained in detail, and were greatly ap-preciated by those present. Mr. Boothalso gave a comprehensive and instruc-tive address on paint pigments, which. Salesmen and executives who attended the four day c invention of A. Ramsay & Son Co., at Montreal,gathering was one of the best and most enthusiastic in the history of the firm. The November 29, 1919 HARDWARE AND METAL 63 was followed by a very interesting dis-cussion. Inspection of the Varnish Plant, underthe supervision of Tom Ramsay, wasalso instructive to the salesmen, as avery complete explanation of the pro-cesses followed in the manufacture ofvarnishes was listened to with keen in-terest by the men. Inspection of the Advertising for theyear 1920 campaign, supervised by H. , proved of great interest to thesalesmen, and produced considerable en-thusiasm, as the campaign outlined wasmost complete. During the meetings that followed, atthe Old Colony Club, Tom Ramsay gavean interesting address on the historyand advancement made in the manufac-turing of varnishes by the company,?covering a period of forty years.
