Coast Guardsmen assigned to Coast Guard Station Miami Beach, Fla., conduct an at-sea drug transfer with the medium-endurance cutter USCGC Bear (WMEC 901) in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of southern Florida Sept. 18, 2014. The Bear?s crew had seized a shipment of cocaine from a container ship while underway in support of Operation Martillo. Martillo is a joint, interagency and multinational collaborative effort to deny transnational criminal organizations air and maritime access to the littoral regions of the Central American isthmus.
