Participants start the race for the Marine Corps Marathon at Marine Corps War Memorial, Arlington, Va., Oct. 28, 2018. Also known as "The People's Marathon," the mile race drew roughly 30,000 participants to promote physical fitness, generate goodwill in the community, and showcase the organizational skills of the Marine Corps.
