THERKILDSON'S NEW JOB. Last week N. W. Ayer & Son, adver- tising agents, Philadelphia, made the following announcement: It gives US pleasure to announce that W. F. Therklldson has come to advertisinsf, headquarters as head of the agricultural, horticultural and farm implement division. Mr. Therklldson enjoys a wide acquaintance in the seed and nursery trade, having been for years the advertising and sales manager and catalogue compiler for the W. Atlee Burpee Co., the well known seed house. Prior to that, Mr. Thwrkildson was associated in a similar capacity with the Storrs & Harrison Co., the world's largest nurserymen. The specialized knowledge and broad, practical experience in his own line of work which Mr. Therklldson brings to this organization, will be reflected in a broader service for Ayer clients. Mr. Therklldson is secretary of the Poor Eichard Club of Philadelphia, president of the Ohio Society of Phila- delphia and a member of the publicity committee of the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. He it was who, as chair- man of the S. A. F. committee on pub- licity, prepared the plan which inspired that organization to undertake its pres- ent publicity campaign and which, in turn, led to a similar market develop- ment project by the nurserymen. NORTHEXJP-KING MANAGEMENT. At a meeting of the stockholders of Northrup, King & Co., Minneapolis, held March 17, Edwin B. Northrup, secretary, tendered his resignation, which was ac- cepted.
