Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk proclaims the independence of Czechoslovakia in Philadelphia depicted in the central part of the sandstone relief by Czech sculptor Karel Lenhart on the Masaryk's Tower of Independence (Masarykova věž samostatnosti) in Hořice in Eastern Bohemia, Czech Republic. The tower designed by Czech architect František Blažek (1925) was never completed. The manifestation on 28 October 1918 is depicted in the left part of the relief. The oath of Czech writers Alois Jirásek, Jan Herben, Antal Stašek and Jaroslav Kvapil on 13 April 1918 is depicted in the right part of the relief.
