MPD77557 Thousands of Christians from Marol and around attended Holy mass organized by Parishioners of Marol Village at the Historic 500 year old St John The Baptist Church at Seepz MIDC Andheri E the western suburbs of Bombay now Mumbai Maharashtra India Until 1973 Mass was celebrated annually at the ruined church of Condita This practice was discontinued when the property comprising the ruined church was acquired by the Government of Maharashtra for developing Santacruz Electronic Export Processing Zone SEEPZ The SEEPZ authorities however intended to preserve the ruined church as a historical monument This Holy Mass was conducted by Cardinal Simon Pimenta
