Ornithogalum Lacteum (Darling Chinkerichee) This variety of recent introduction from South Africa has been given much publicity on account of its wonderful keeping qualities. It is claimed that a spike blooms for 100 days from the opening of the first flowers. Forces very readily, therefore should become popular for growing in pots or pans during the winter and early spring months. The blooms are pure white and are borne on stems 1J to 2 feet high bearing 50 and more blooms. Can readily be grown in cold frames or outdoors at Phila- delphia if protected. 15 cts. each; $ per doz.; $ per hundred. Ranunculus These beautiful flowering bulbs delight in a cool, moist atmosphere, and' will repay extra care in cultivation. The curious tooth-like bulb may be kept out of the ground without injury for a long time, and if planted in spring in a cool, shady situation will generally give satisfactory results. They are also desirable for pot culture and for grow- ing in frames in spring. Also suitable fos rockeries in a mild climate. Double French Hybrids. A splendid mixture containing all the brilliant colors for which this strain is famous. 60 cts. per doz.; $ per 100; $ per 1000. Florentine.
