The meeting, according to Secretary Dcutschinann, was better attended "than any one of the last year. Henry Ostertag and John J. Burke, of Ostertag Bros., spent the greater part of the last week at Jefferson City, Mo., preparing for decorations for the inaugural of Governor-elect Gardner. A carload of plants and cut flowers was taken to Jefferson City. The new stores recently opened—the I^lossom Show, the Eosery, Kobinson's, Miss Histon's, those of A. Young & Co. and the Koenig Floral Co.—report sjilendid trade. These arc all in Ihe western part of the city. Joseph Ilauser, of Webster Groves, reports that he cut as many as 10,000 violets for the holidays. It is also re- ported that he sold the stock of his new single red dahlia to the American Bulb Co., of Chicago. F. IT. Weber took a day off last week and paid a visit to the wholesale district. The busy season has kept Mr. Weber close to his business. Mrs. Fred Ude, left this week to join her husband in Florida, where they will winter with their son, Emil, who has large interests there in fruit farms.
